Dr. Sutherland’s practice consists of the following:

 

  • Neuropsychological Assessment
    • -Decision Making Capacity consists of six (6) domains including:
  1. Medical consent
  2. Financial consent
  3. Sexual consent
  4. Testamentary consent
  5. Driving
  6. Independent Living Capacities
  • May also include undue influence and/or capacity assessment for legal interventions, such as guardianship or conservatorship 

 

  • Intervention
    • -Individual, couples and family therapy
    • -Therapy may include, although not limited to, depression, anxiety, dementia related changes, chronic illness/pain, grief & loss, adjustment to aging -related stresses, end-of-life care, and surgical preparedness and post-op recovery

 

  • Consultation Services

-​​​​​​​Consultation with families, professionals, service agencies, and/or interdisciplinary teams

 

  • ​​​​​​​Expert Witness Services​​​​​​​
-Consultation for cases involving elder abuse and will disputes; conduct cognitive and functional performance testing on elderly individuals as well assess ability to provide testamentary capacity to complete/change/modify estate planning/wills as well as providing testimony for depositions/trial.
